| Ribbon Blender |
| Ribbon blender is basically manufactured for uniform, homogeneous, and quick
mixing of powders and semi-wet materials of different densities. Helical ribbon
agitator design is the real key for the success of this Blender. |

| How the Ribbon Blender Works - |
| A Ribbon Blender consists of a horizontal trough with a central shaft and
a helical ribbon agitator. Mixing results from the turbulence induced by counteracting
Ribbons. There are two sets of Counter acting Ribbons - Outer Ribbon, Inner Ribbon.
Both ribbons mounted on the same shaft. Ribbons has close Trough clearance which
provides a region of high shear force near the wall thereby achieving both bulk
blending and dispersive mixing. |

| Ribbons are design to obtain complete and thorough mixing. It
is designed in such a way that along with vertical movement, material to be mixed
will have to and fro motion. Diametric size of the ribbon keeps some proportion
with the volume of the vessel so that the power required to drive the machine
will be less. The ribbon causes all the material to circulate using only 5% of
the power needed by the turbine.
When the economy of the mixing equipments are taken into consideration the
ribbon blender is the best suited machine for better result in the field of chemical,
pharmaceutical and allied industries.
The machine is manufactured in the combination of Mild Steel and Stainless
Steel. The product to machine contact parts will be in Stainless Steel and remaining
is in Mild Steel to reduce the total cost of the machine. cGMP models are also
available. |

| Special Features of Vats & Vessels Ribbon
Blender - |
- Ribbon cross-section and pitch, close clearances between outer ribbon and
shell, and number of spirals on the ribbon are the few features which can be varied
to accommodate materials ranging from low-density finely divided materials to
fibrous and sticky materials.
- The Ribbon Blender is adaptable to batch or continuous mixing.
- HEATING or COOLING JACKET as per process requirements.
- CHOPPERS - Choppers can be provided as a Delumper or as a Fine Grinder.
- Hinged Cover, Dependable Discharge Outlet.- Manual lever or hand wheel operated
slide gate valve, swing-type flush mounting plug valve
- Discharge - Hand wheel operated slide gate valve, gates, drop bottom, seals
and finishes
- The PADDLE design is optional and normal applied where FRIABLE materials are
being blended and when batches as small as 15% of the total capacity are going
to be mixed in one blender.
- Optional Scale hoppers are available
- Constructed of SS 316, SS 304 and Carbon Steel.
- Capacity - 25 Ltr. to 7,500 Ltr.
- Fast, Easy Cleaning - The entire ribbon assembly is removable as a unit.
- Shaft Seal - Three rows of packing, of type compatible with product and application,
housed in a standard gland follower stuffing box, assist in keeping dirt out and
product in. Purged and lubricated seals as well as the mechanical seals are also
available.
- Simplified Drives - Typically units of sizes to 100 cu. ft (2.8 cu. m) and
15 H.P. drive are driven by a torque arm reducer with "V" belts and
an integrally mounted motor.
